I am super excited to be working with a leader in the olive oil industry and the number one selling Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the U.S., Pompeian to celebrate National Olive Oil Month. We go through olive oil in my house almost as quickly as we go through water because well we use it to cook everything! We even have a spray bottle so that we can use it as a non-stick spray.

I actually tried Extra Virgin Olive Oil on Ice Cream with a little salt a few months ago and fell in love with the added flavor on top of a nice vanilla ice cream.  You have to Celebrate National Olive Oil Month by kicking butter to the curb.  It is easy to do it with almost any recipe using this conversion chart.

You can take the Pompeian Pledge for a chance to receive a gift from Pompeian (a free movie redemption code and a coupon for a free bottle of olive oil), and every week in August (National Olive Oil Month) 5 additional fans who have pledged will win a fun prize pack on Pompeian’s timeline. They are giving away movie tickets as part of their partnership with movie theaters. To kick off the National Olive Oil Month celebrations and reach even the biggest butter fanatics, Pompeian is partnering with movie theaters across the country to swap movie theatre popcorn butter with Pompeian Olive Oils.

Here are a few ideas on how to use Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

1.  Sauté or grill shrimpfresh fruits, & vegetables in Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then sprinkle with Pompeian Balsamic Vinegar for a rich Mediterranean-style flavor.
