Lip gloss is one of my favorite beauty products to shop for. I am very picky and hate all sticky glosses. Lately, I have been embracing my large lips and wanting to emphasize them with some color. I received a sample of Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stain in 9 Rouge Laque at the SoBlo Event a few weeks ago.

YSL-red-lip-gloss,

This  Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stain is new lip product that combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain. The product is formulated without Parabens. Sulfates, and Phthalates. For natural shine, Sephora advised that you should apply one coat onto the center of lips and brush towards the outer corners. For more coverage and sophistication, apply two coats using the outer curved side of the applicator, then dab on the formula generously over lips. I recommend applying the product  in layers for maximum staying power and impact. Apply the first coat and let it dry before applying the second layer.

Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stain Review

Color: Great Selection and I love No. 9 Rouge Laque!
Texture: Great texture and not sticky at all! Consider that it is long lasting, I was surprised that it was not dry at all.
Longevity: Lasts for a while and did not stain the skin around my mouth. Stay put after eating too!
Price: Not the cheapest lip gloss out there, but the quality is work the price. I might buy this color only to wear for special occasions and fashion events. It is definitely not for everyday wear.

I will be trying out the color in the sample I received and might actually hit the store as well to see what a makeup artist picks for me. I am really happy with this color combo with my Dolce & Gabbana Eyeglasses. It looks great on my fair/light skin tone and dark hair. Who knew that I would not hate accentuating my lips with this over the top red? I actually love it!
