I am a member of the Well Driven Network and this weekend I was extremely lucky to get to take a complimentary Cadillac ATS Coupe down to Key West. How amazing is that?!
The luxury of this vehicle blew me away! The first thing that draws you in is the beautiful large display on the dash. There is an amazing GPS that gives you turn by turn directions with an easy search through address and point of interest. It shows up on the hologram on the windshield so that you don’t even have to look at it. It’s one of those set it and forget it. You also have OnStar, which is a quick press on the display or on where the cabin lights are. You can just ask them (a real person) to find something for you, and it automatically goes into the GPS in the dash.
The car also has a hot spot, so you don’t have to use your data plan! I used it the entire way down to Key West while my hubby drove. I Persisoped a little bit of the drive down to show some of the features in action. You can also charge your phone in the center console.
When you are reversing the display becomes a backup camera with lines helping guide you so you don’t hit anything. It also has a vibration in the seat that tells you when. You are getting too close. My husband calls it a butt massage!
The gas mileage is amazing! This was extremely unexpected considering the luxury of the Cadillac ATS. I thought it would guzzle gas, but it is amazing on gas!! The EPA-estimated 21 city/30 highway MPG for ATS 2.0L Turbo RWD with automatic transmission. We saw 27 miles per gallon on our trip including a mix of city driving and highway!
I was not sold on this whole keyless entry thing until now. I was like: how hard is it to get your key out and open your door and put your key in? Well, getting my nails done was much simpler with the keyless entry and the push start. I was not fiddling around in my purse looking for my key messing up my nails! Also, it’s safer when you have precious cargo in your hands! I don’t have to stop for a second to look for my keys. My focus can completely on my daughter. I am looking into getting this for my front door.
I loved the car, but I think my husband loved it even more. He immediately started researching more about it so he could play with all the features, and he is actively considering the four-door version for himself!
