I am extremely excited to announce that my daughter is now letting me do her hair. It has been a long, painful road of chasing my daughter down trying to do her hair so that she doesn’t get food in it and it doesn’t look like she is a hot mess all the time. I should be extremely thin considering all the running I do try to do this toddler’s hair.

I am beyond excited to announce that I have figured out how to do her hair without any trouble. I found this amazing brush from Goody called the Goody TangleFix Brush. They come in few different colors, but I found a very girly looking one that my daughter thinks is a toy brush (I think). She likes trying to brush her hair with it, and she always wants to hold it. This might be a little controversial, but I turn on a movie or TV program that she likes to watch so that she is slightly distracted before I start brushing her hair. When I start brushing, I try to hold her hair as I brush the bottom, so I am not pulling from the root. I keep the hair bands close by so that I can put them in my daughter’s hair quickly.

Goody-Tangle-Fix-BrushFor this hair look, I used the Goody Ouchless Girls Elastics, Goody TangleFix Brush, and the Goody Girls Ouchless Oval Cushion Brush. They have a ton of colors so you can match them to your toddler’s look. I like that they are smaller and don’t pull the hair the way real rubber bands do, and I don’t have to worry about the metal showing for snapping at my daughter’s head.

Goody Tangle Fix-2441In the bath or shower, I keep the Goody Girls Ouchless Oval Cushion Brush so that when I put the conditioner in my daughter’s hair, I can brush out the knots and tangles before I remove the conditioner. The more knots you get out in the shower or bath, the less breakage you will have. The Goody Ouchless Girls Oval Brush allows me to gently brush out my daughter’s toughest tangles without the tears. Goody Ouchless Girls brushes deliver the most effective and gentle detangling* for your daughter. Goody’s exclusive FlexGlide™ bristles combine strength with flexibility to get through messy hair gently so you won’t feel snags and pulls. Trust Goody Ouchless Girls brushes for top down brushing without the tears. 74% of moms experiences less snagging and pulling of daughter’s hair when comparing to their normal brush. **Based upon user testing comparing the Ouchless brush to each user’s typical brush.

Goody Tangle Fix-2485My daughter’s hair is extremely tangly (like mine…poor girl), so I also use spray leave-in conditioner and brush her hair out using the Goody Girls Ouchless Oval Cushion Brush after she gets out of the shower or bath. Then, I let her hair air dry before she goes to bed. If she goes to bed before her hair is dry, there is more chance of breakage.

In the morning, I use the Goody Ouchless Girls Elastics and Goody TangleFix Brush to create this puffed three ponytail look that keeps her controlled all day at school. I used the first elastic to gather the crown hair so that they will not that many flyaways that will end up on her face or her food. The second pony is in the middle of her head. and the third pony gathers all the hair together keeping it off her face so that she can have fun all day!

I am extremely impressed by the quality and the ability to do my daughter’s hair without a problem.

The Goody Clean Radiance Oval Cushion Brush has amazing massaging copper bristles that educe natural buildup that is produced over time.*results based on consumer usage and perception study. Less buildup in hair will leave hair looking healthier and more radiant. For best results, use on dry hair and do not use with blow dryer, as copper bristles may get hot. Clean Brush by dipping the bristles in a mixture of lemon juice and water. Wipe with dry cloth.
