How to Get Stylish Glasses for Less

Customizing Stylish Glasses

You can customize your glasses to meet your needs. Personally, I need the thinnest possible lens based on my presciption strength. First, you choose what you need the glasses for. I’m a distance girl. They have distance, reading, bifocal, and non-prescription.

Next, you put in your prescription, any axis and your pupillary distance.

Then, you decide what type of lens you want. I choose the Digital Screen Protector because it helps protect your eyes from the computer and cell phones. There are other awesome options like light adjusting and sun protector. EBD Blue is a proprietary blue light filter, scratch resistant, UV protective and anti-reflective. This is important for anyone that works in front of a computer screen all day.

The anti-reflective lens coating is especially important for lenses that are high index. “Anti-Reflective coating is especially beneficial when used on high-index lenses, which reflect more light than regular plastic lenses. Generally, the higher the index of refraction of the lens material, the more light that will be reflected from the surface of the lenses. For example, regular plastic lenses reflect roughly 8 percent of light hitting the lenses, so only 92 percent of available light enters the eye for vision. High index plastic lenses can reflect up to 50 percent more light than regular plastic lenses (approximately 12 percent of available light), so even less light is available to the eye for vision.
