After being overweight for almost 3 years now, I am going to make a concentrated effort to lose weight. I have joined Weight Watchers and have been logging all the food that I eat. This smoothie recipe is the start of journey to healthier eating. It is a basic green smoothie recipe that is pretty easy. It does not contain all the normal fruits that I typically see in smoothies. I prefer it that way because some of them can get boring for me. This is my easy green smoothie recipe that is anything, but boring.

Green Smoothie Recipe

I froze sliced up bananas and pineapples when they were ripe. This gave me some more time with them. I feel like fruits are always going bad and I was really happy to save them before they did. The frozen veggies allow you to skip the ice. I have made it with and without frozen fruits and have been happy with both results.

This recipe serves 2 and allows me to make it for me and my hubs. You can divide the ingredients in half to make it for 1 person.

The flax seed is also something that the smoothie is great with and without. I’ve made it both ways!
