Can we just agree that nothing is better than a refreshing drink on a hot day? Because honestly, I could pretty much spend the whole day sipping on delicious cocktails by the pool or lake (or even sitting on the porch) there’s just something indulgent and relaxing in it. This Lime Shandy Beer Cocktail has been a constant this whole season around here.

Lime Shandy Beer Cocktails (2 of 8)

I love this Lime Shandy Beer Cocktail for a couple of reasons:

1. It’s a crowd favorite. to be completely honest with you, that’s one of the most important things for me in a drink recipe. it has to be a crowd favorite. Shaking up cocktails is fun and all but if I’m planning a gathering or inviting people over I prefer to have a signature cocktail.
2. It’s easy: There’s nothing I love more than knowing that I can mix up a bartender quality cocktail in little time with little ingredients. I also love that you can actually whip up this in your home without any cocktail abilities.
3. It’s refreshing: Seriously, if a drink is not refreshing then why bother? I love a drink that’s refreshing and that quenches the thirst. This Lime Shandy is one of those drinks that I find myself craving during hot days.

So, I pretty much consider that this should be the official drink of Summer (kidding, not kidding).

This is just beer, lime juice, sugar and lime slices, those super simple ingredients make this lip-smacking good recipe! And you know what’s pretty awesome as well? That you can just swap out the beer for some soda and it’s just as good. Mocktail or spiked you can be sure that, just like in my home this drink is going to become your go-to as well.

This lime shandy beer cocktail pairs really well with these dishes: Easy Buffalo Chicken Tacos Recipe and Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken Skewers.

  1. You couldn’t even list the brands of beer and soda you used? “Dark beer” is extremely variable in terms of flavor, and so is “lime soda.” Your post is completely useless.

    • I am so sorry you feel that way. I was trying to make it easy for you to recreate. I am not a beer expert so I just used what I had in the fridge. I do not recall the beer, but I feel like it was Stout and the lime soda was diet sprite. Feel free to try with your favorite beer and let me know how it comes out.
