My daughter has been talking non-stop about Mermaids lately. It is pretty adorable! I decided that it would be awesome if we were both mermaids for Halloween. I found some pretty awesome mermaid costumes on Etsy that you can get matching for mother and daughter.

Here is my Mermaid Makeup Tutorial:

Start by priming your entire face with face primer. This helps keep the makeup on your face all night.
Prime your eyes with eyeshadow primer. This primer is necessary to make the eyeshadow colors pop and stay on longers.
Use the teal green color on your lids.

Teal Eyeshadow
Use silver eyeshadow below your brows.
Blend the teal and silver shadow together so that the blue comes up a little higher.
Using an angled brush, line the lower lashline with purple eyeshadow.

Using a marker black liquid liner, line the upper lid.

Put on black mascara.
Use the angled brush to fill in your brows with red lipstick. IMG_4666
Then, use the same color on your lips.

After the night is finished, remove all your makeup with Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes that I picked up at Walmart.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are amazing! They are awesome at dissolving all traces of dirt, oil and makeup! Whoa – even waterproof mascara and glitter!!! With one step easy step (no need to rinse), it leaves skin clean without a no heavy residue. The work great around the eyes even for contact wearers like me. I’m so glad that after a fun Halloween night, I don’t have to sit at the sink trying to get my makeup off.
