Margarita Wine Spritzer Cocktails Recipe

One of the best things about May is that everyone starts regularly drinking Margarita. I have been on this wine spritzer kick and I thought why not experiment with mixing the 2 drinks. When you mix together a light wine, lime juice and tequila, an amazing flavor explosion happens. Yes, my friends, Pomegranate Margarita Wine Spritzers pretty much the official drink of Spring and Summer.

One of the great things about this recipe is that is so delicious that you can make it with or without the pomegranate liquor. You can make a traditional margarita wine spritzer or a Pomegranate Margarita Wine Spritzer and you know what? Both options are just as good and refreshing.

I like to make a big pitcher of it so everyone can grab a glass + it’s just plain easier to mix a lot in a pitcher than making single cocktails in glasses.

Really, I’ve lost count the times I’ve made this recipe and every single one is a hit. And while following the recipe results in an out of this world good cocktail this is also one of those things that you can pretty much eyeball and tweak to fit what you have on hand. Is there anything better than a versatile cocktail recipe?

To make it I use tequila, white wine (I prefer the light ones for this recipe), fresh lime juice, club soda, and pomegranate liquor. While you can also make it sans the pomegranate liquor, which is especially handy if you want to keep this even easier, I have found that the wine/tequila combo is so so good. There’s something about the tartness of the lime that pairs so good with the pomegranate and the white wine.

Then, I just mix everything in the pitcher and pour it over glasses filled to the brims with ice. So good my friends, so good.
