Do you ever worry about your toiletries exploding in your bag when you travel? I know I am always concerned about ruining my clothing and shoes with an exploding toiletry. I am always worried about it because it has happened before.

My mom would always have a toiletry suit case for all these items, but these days with all the extra fees for baggage and ounce limits, you are limited to checking your toiletries in your large suit case.

I started by tightening and closing all the toiletries so that nothing was loose. Also, I locked any pumps that could be locked.

Next, I wrapped each toiletry with Glad Press’n Seal that I bought at Walmart. I tried not to waist it and used exactly the amount need to wrap each product entirely.

Finally, I put the toiletries into a Glad Freezer Zipper Gallon Bag for extra protection.

  1. That’s such a great idea. I’ve used Press N’ Seal for all kinds of things, but never packing. This looks like it will work perfectly.

  2. I really like the Glad Press and Seal but I’ve never thought about using it like this. Now you have me thinking what else I can do with it!

  3. This is such a good idea! It is a disaster when stuff leaks all over your luggage! I will have to keep this in mind the next time I travel.

  4. Very smart to keep it wrapped up! The mess that could possibly happen would be such a nightmare, great way to have things protected.

  5. Oh how awesome. I wouldn’t ever think to wrap it all up. Very smart. I remember as a kid on vacations and things would explode and be all over. This is so clever!

  7. This is such a great idea. I have always used baggies, but I hate wasting them because I throw them away after we get there and it feels like money down the drain! I am doing this for our next camping trip. Thanks for the awesome idea!

  10. This is a good idea. I am super paranoid about my shampoo bottles exploding so I usually tape the top down with masking tape and then put them in ziplock bags. (Told you I was paranoid. haha). But this press n’ seal idea looks much simpler and I can ALWAYS use the extra space in my luggage.

  11. This is a trick I’d use. And hurrah for pump locks, those are a great invention when it comes to taking items with you while traveling.
