Irish Stew with Chicken Recipe
I cooked this is Irish Stew in the Crock Pot. It is an inexpensive and Low Calorie Irish Stew Slow Cooker recipe made witch chicken instead of Lamb or Beef.

- 3 Cups Beef Broth
- 2 Tbsp Beef Broth
- 4 Chicken Breasts cut into small cubes
- 8 Red Potatoes scrubbed & halved (sweet potatoes)
- 2 Cups Pearl Onions peeled
- 2 Parsnips quartered and cut into slices
- 1 1/2 Cups Carrots peeled & sliced into chunks
- 1 turnips wedged
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 3 tbsp Flour All Purpose
- 2 Cups Peas frozen, thawed
- 1/4 Cup Parsley
Combine 3 cups beef broth, chicken, potatoes, onions, parsnips, carrots turnip, bay leaf, salt and pepper in the slow cooker on low for 10 hours or high for 6 hours.
Using a whisk, mix together 2 tbsp beef broth and 3 tbsp flour.
Take 4 tbsp out of the broth from the slow cooker and whisk it into the beef and flour mixture.
Add the flour mixture back into the slow cooker and mix together.
Remove Bay Leaf
Add 2 Cups frozen peas and 1/4 cup parsley and cook for another 1/2 hour.
