I found this amazing crochet vest in a chartreuse that is very 70s at Plato’s Closet. It has been sitting in my closet for a while I figured out how to wear a crochet vest. The challenge for me was not making the outfit so 70s or grandma. I put together the crochet vest with knee length checkerboard print skirt to add some rocker to the outfit.
I recently watched HGTV Star where the contestants were decorating the Kris Jenner’s office. The winning designers mixed chartreuse ruffed couches with black and white everything else. I liked the mix so much that used it as the inspiration for this outfit.
I put pictures of the HGTV Star on my office pin board.

I love that outfit and I am going to find those shoes! I love them so much! I really like that many, if not all, of your maternity outfits will work really well in the postpartum phase, too.
I would never pick that up at a store because I would never know what to do with it, but I love the outfit you made!!
You nailed it! Beautiful way to put it all together – great job! I love that pop of color – so fun and fresh for spring & summer. 🙂 You totally own it, girl! This is the epitome of fashion – how you put it all together to make it yours. Great inspiration for others who own a crochet vest, like me, and how to make it work! Also looks great with a black tank top and cut-off shorts or skinny jeans, over a sun dress, or even a swimming suit is ideal. So may ways, but one great staple piece that adds a nice feminine, bohemian touch that can work for all women of all ages and sizes. Blessings!
