I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Charmin. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for my participation. #tweetfromtheseat #IC #MC How to Prepare for Holiday Guests
The holidays are in full swing and it is time to start thinking about how to prepare for holiday guests. Here are a few tips on preparing your home for holiday guests.
Tip #1: Stock Up the Bathroom
When preparing for holiday guests, the most important thing to have on your list is Toilet paper! You might take toilet paper for granted, but I cannot tell you how quickly guests go through toilet paper. Stock up each bathroom with Charmin Toilet Paper and also keep a few extra rolls in a local place just in case the roll ends up empty. You don’t want your guest having to hunt for toilet paper. Consumers who buy Charmin ensure their plumbing will stay clog-free even during the busiest of times, such as the holiday season.
Charmin and Roto-Rooter, America’s largest provider of plumbing & drain services, have teamed up again this year to remind consumers of the clog-free and septic-safe guarantee that only comes with Charmin. Roto-Rooter plumbers recommend Charmin more than any other brand. Not only does Charmin have Roto-Rooter’s stamp of approval to be clog-free and septic-safe, but it is also used by plumbers more than any other brand.
There are a few other items you should keep on hand just in case. Buy a few large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Your holiday guests will be grateful when you tell them they don’t have to worry about bringing bath essentials.
Also, stock up on items just in case your overnight guests for to pack these:
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Mouthwash
Feminine products
Razors
Shaving cream

Tip #2: Stock Up the Bedroom
Make sure each guest has two pillows in varying firmness. Layer a few light blankets so that your guest can adjust the warmth to the level that’s right for them.
Light up the path from the bedroom to the bathroom so they can access in the night if necessary. If the overhead light is too bright, you can add a little plugin light.
Stock a basket in the guest room with magazines and books ranging in themes.

Tip #3: Stock Up the Kitchen
The next area to focus on for when holiday guests visit is the kitchen. Make sure to have a variety of drinks and different milk for each taste (cow, almond, lactose-free), juice, coffee, and a variety of teas. Also keep a variety of sweeteners on hand including agave nectar, honey, lemon, cream or half and half, and sugar or sugar substitutes.
For daytime and evening drinks, stock up on bottled water and sodas.
Also, stock up on both white and red wines as well as beer.
Also, have snacking foods ready, so that your guests can snack in between meals or late night. Snack mixes, trail mixes, cookies and chips work great.

great help!!
These are great ways to get prepared! Our house is pretty small so we don’t normally have holidays here with our big family!
Those are great idea. I don’t let people stay at my house, but I don’t mind inviting myself to stay at someone else’s!
Great ideas, having family over for the holidays is a stressful time.
It is super stressful to have family over during the holidays. I am glad to not have that stress this year.
I love these ideas. I have to say, that picture of the bathroom is really cool. Talk about being prepared!
It’s always stressful when the family stays with you, but it’s even worse if you’re not prepared. Thanks a lot for these great tips!
I always use Charmin, and I make double sure we have it when there are guests over. The only thing worse than a clogged toilet is a clogged toilet when guests are over.
These are fantastic tips. I need to stock up on bathroom supplies at our house.
This is the only brand that we use. My husband buys it by the case! When all 10 kids were living at home, you can’t even begin to imagine how much of the stuff we went through. TP never clogged our toilet, but some of the other things that the kids flushed, kept us on a first name basis with our local RotoRooter guy!
What great tips… I always have extra food, snacks, and gifts on hand for those drop in guests. Thanks for sharing your tips
Even though we won’t be having guests staying with us, we will have plenty of company. These are great tips and many are perfect for just the holidays in general.
Awesome tips! I definitely like to stock up on toiletry items (e.g. toilet paper) when guests are coming.
These are great tips for preparing your home for guests. I always make sure i have plenty of clean towels and toilet paper.
Great tips. I always make sure the bathroom is fully stocked. Last thing you want is a guest not being able to find toilet paper.
Those are all fantastic tips! I would never have thought about some of those things to make guests comfortable so I’m definitely making a mental note 🙂 I know I’d personally appreciate a nicely stocked bathroom if I’m staying somewhere!
Stocking up on coffee is a must. Everyone in my family drinks it!
What a great list! I do all those things!!
Oh this is perfect timing, our family rolls in on Thursday. I love the idea of stocking backups for the bathroom, I need to do that!
Such an amazing list of things to do when preparing for guest around the holidays!
Aww, you had me until you listed snacks- fruit and veggies didn’t make the cut? 🙁
I love preparing for guests, but this year will not be the same since my dad die three days ago. I miss him so much!
These are great ideas! I always make sure to stop up the bathroom so they don’t have to ask for anything.
I’m in love with the TP wall! Then you can’t complain you’ve run out of Charmin!
Awesome tips here, it is always great to stock up on everything, the toilet paper wall is funny. I also like the tip about the lighting in the bedroom.
These are great tips to prepare for guests, we don’t usually get guests around here. Sadly, it’s just us. Extended family does come around once maybe twice a year for a five minute drop by. I will pass these tips onto my family and friends who have guests over and stress about it!
