This weekend I spend time with my friends having a party on the patio with Milo’s Cafe Style Tea. I placed in on the patio in a silver ice bucket with glasses so that my guests could grab an ice tea with ease. It is extremely important to stay hydrated outdoors.
Preparation of Party on the Patio
To make the perfect party on the patio, my husband and I prepare the patio by pressure cleaning, bleaching the patio to get rid of any stubborn stains, sweeping and weed pulling. Then, we used mulch to cover any exposed roots and the base of trees and plants where the grass does not grow. We own our pressure cleaner and mulch is only $2.50 per bag so the clean up was not an expensive investment. We just had to put in the work to make it look pretty for our guests.
Styling the Party on the Patio
I styled the patio with new chaise lounge covers, lumbar pillows to match, and big umbrellas to provide shade. In the summer time, my patio gets a lot of sun. This year, I am determined to make my guests comfortable by giving them shade. I bought 2 umbrella’s and plan to buy another 2 to keep everyone comfortable and out of the hot sun.
I try to keep the entire backyard cohesive in color so that everything matches. I chose navy, white, and teal as my color palette. This is awesome color palette for outdoors especially near a pool since the colors all naturally match the pool water. I even matched the outdoor glasses and towels to the decor.
Pool and Outdoor Toys
I purchased several toys to play with by the pool and even a little kiddie pool for the small children. Early in the morning before the party, I clean and fill the kiddie pool so that the water will be warm by the time we get in it. By the late afternoon, the kiddie pool is almost hot tub temperature for the adults.
Drink Station
I provide a drink station outside with lots of options to keep my guests hydrated. I found the Milo’s Cafe Style Tea at Whole Foods last week in refrigerated juice and dairy section. They keep it there is the tea is all natural. You can see where the carry it by you with this store locator.
Milo’s Cafe Style Tea is brand new and is the most affordable organic tea that I have seen. I normally pay this price for a small take on the go drink from Whole Foods. I got a huge bottle for the same price! The teas are fresh brewed, all natural teas with no preservatives, no additives and no acids. Café Style teas are brewed from USDA Certified organic tea leaves and are sweetened with organic sugar or lightly sweetened with organic stevia. There are 4 flavors: Sweet, Light Sweet, Green Citrus, Light Green Citrus. I bought and tried all of them and made the patio party a ice tea tasting.
