Where on earth are you today? Today, I am in my most favorite place on earth, my home, Boca Raton, Florida. It is ironic that is now my favorite place on earth because I talked a ton of crap about it before I moved here. I had an atrocious first impression of it with a woman at Whole Foods on Glades Road needing a dime to complete her transaction. I happily offered it up and was thanked with nothing! She did not even look up – she just took it from my hand and gave it to the cashier. This entitlement bothered me! I lived in Miami at this point and even though it has its faults people don’t act like this.
Life brought me to Boca Raton because of the good schools and perfectly manicured green spaces. I was determined to give the place a chance and was greeted with open arms by moms and made a ton of new friends. My neighbors are incredibly sweet, the restaurant and grocery store selection are fantastic, and the uniform manicured trees make me smile every day. Now, when I hear people talk crap about my town, I let them and smile inside thinking – it is my favorite place on earth, and you just don’t know what you are missing out on! To me, the people make the place special, and I’ve been lucky enough to meet awesome people here!
My mom gave us a wonderful gift this week of watching my daughter so that my hubs and I could spend some quality time together. We had a fabulous brunch at Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen in East Boca Raton. The food was fantastic! We started with a Buffalo Cauliflower that my hubby tried for the first time and fell in love the way I did when my friend turned me on to it. I wore this fall outfit to brunch, and we took some great photos in Royal Plaza where they have little piazza with fountains.

Now that the temperatures are finally dropping here in South Florida, I am rocking these awesome and extremely comfortable booties from Earth Shoes.
