My hubby and I have been in the market for a new home for quite some time. We have been house hunting all over Boca Raton, Florida for over a year. Most of the homes that we have looked at in our price range need a ton of work. Considering this, I have been exploring buying a new home. Newly built homes allow you to trade your to-do list for a want-to-do list. There is no need to spend time on repairing and remodeling. The new homes are more energy efficient than others on the market.
As you can tell for my fashion sense, I am obsessed with details. I love that newly built homes allow you to personalize to fit your needs. You can choose flooring, lighting fixtures, windows, and cabinets! The list never ends! Do you want a rain shower or a toilet with water saving ability? We have been looking at tank-less water heaters that save money on electricity because the water does not have to sit in the hot water heater tank being heated all day. The tankless water heater heats water as needed. The other customizations that I am a huge fan of are the driveway and patio choices. Most homes that I have seen just have a painted driveway. It is very expensive to rip out a driveway to replace it with something like brick-pavers or light colored tile for the pool area. If the home is new, you get to skip the cost of breaking up and removing concrete. Also, when you pick out lighting fixtures inside and outside out in a newly built home, the wiring can be places exactly where you want it. In an older home, you might have to move wiring in order to get it exactly where you want it. That can get expensive. Bottom line, in the long run, newly built homes can save you time and money.

I can’t wait to see your new house!
Were looking to buy a new house!
If I could do it over, I would build a new house. It’s unbelievable how much we had to REPAIR since buying this house.
I would love to have a tankless hot water heater.
I like the idea of only heating the water when you need it.
What great info future home owners!
Our next water heater will be tankless!
Great info. I can’t wait to see your new home.
I was considering a new home when we were looking to buy.
I always wanted a new home, but then we bought a REALLY old one (built 1876). House hunting can be such a fun, and at the same time frustrating experience. Good luck with your house hunt!
Good luck with your house hunting! I like new homes too–much less work that way!
We bought our house newly built and chose all of the interior fixtures. It was fun!
We built our house about 10 years ago, and I was amazed at just how fast all the extras added up! Make a budget and stick to it and allow at least 20% for overages! Best of luck ~ you will love it in the end!
These and probably many more benefits were the reasons my family moved to a newly built home. After living in a house that was over a half century old, and after practically remodeling the entire house with all the fixtures and repairs that needed to be done along with new additions that were put in, it was a relief finding a house that didn’t require so much work! Finding a house you can customize with the least amount of money and gruel is a blessing in my opinion. Building it would be even better, but that can sometimes be tricky. I hope your new home is everything you hoped for and more!
