Hello January! Can we just agree that when this month comes around suddenly all we want to make and eat are healthy dishes? I mean I seriously understand it! After all, we have probably indulged in one too many treats during the holidays and in definitely way too many cookies. So obviously, it’s time for a reboot in our diets right?

Well, yes and no. I mean eating healthy is something that we definitely want to do but man it’s SO hard! After all, we are so used to eat all the sweets and delicious bits that jumping into a bowl of oatmeal doesn’t seem like the most appealing choice. That’s where this Berry Smoothie comes in handy.

The reason? It tastes just like dessert! So it helps you tackle all the cravings without any of the guilt!

It’s thick and oh so creamy so needless to say it’s incredibly satisfying and since it has fruits and oats and milk it keeps you full for the morning. Talk about a powerful way to start the day.

For me, all the secret to perfect creaminess is in adding the banana. The banana is what makes it so thick so definitely go big with it. Also, trust me on this one but go with a mix of different berries as opposed to only one type. Not only you get a deeper flavor but you also end up with a nutritious powerhouse.

And feel free to use frozen fruits, the result is almost the same (just a little bit thicker) and they are available year round.
