High-end designers showed some of their Spring “ready to wear” looks at Miami Fashion Week. I love that you can see some current trends on the runway at Miami Fashion Week even as Fall runways are coming out later in the year. This is because most women are concerned about what they are wearing for the spring and summer as the days are growing longer and heating up.
Miami Fashion Week Shows
Moschino showed some items from their Spring “ready to wear” collection at Miami Fashion Week. Rossella Jardini of Moschino referenced the 1960s in her designs, particularly the inspiration she took from the movie Two for the Road with Audrey Hepburn. The flower appliques, metal discs, and white sunglasses show a beautiful side of the 60s that should not be forgotten and I am so glad to see Moschino bring it back in such a fun way. I found the second mini dress currently available at Net-A-Porter.
Alberta Ferreti showed evening gowns from the Spring “ready to wear” collection. This collection reminded me of mermaids and the water fabric trend that was all over the spring 2013 runway. The materials are so delicate. I would love to wear one of these gowns to a wedding or gala this spring. The beige one could even be an unconventional wedding dress.
Blumarine is one of my favorite designers. I have 2 skirts made by Blumarine that I have been wearing for over 6 years. Once I am skinny again, I will definitely put together some outfits with them so you can see how easy they are to wear.
Stella McCartney showed sheer elements and lucite shoes on her Spring “ready to wear” runway. Both trends are huge this spring. I dressed my sister in a sheer top with a bright undergarment to show an easy way to wear this trend once it gets warmer.
These are not my favorites, maybe I’m just getting too old for good fashion. Or I just dont have anyplace to wear this stuff.
Gorgeous, love the minis!
I love the short dresses.
I love the white and black!
I am such a fan of floral prints and am glad to see a little made it’s way into Miami fashion week.
Pretty! Still waiting for spring around here.
I love just about all these looks!
Cute looks.
I love the dress with the flowers!
