Before I write this blog post, I have to drink coffee. My morning routine starts with a cup of coffee that I usually make for myself or sometimes my hubby makes it for me. I like to sit and watch 15 minutes of TV while drinking coffee. I love this short time that I can spend all by myself doing what I want to do. It is such a rarity to have time alone to enjoy something now that I am a mom. I love to savor the moments. My 15 minutes of TV and coffee is little slice of a different life.
This week I got to try some new coffee from McCafé. Now you can buy McDonald’s coffee at the grocery store! Coffee lovers can now brew delicious McCafé packaged coffee at home in both ground and K-Cup® pods forms. That’s right they are making K-Cup®!! Of course, you can still get McCafé in their local McDonald’s.
The McCafé packaged coffee is made with 100% Arabica beans in tons of different flavors. McCafé packaged coffee comes in seven varieties including different roasts and blends, such as Premium Roast, French Roast, Breakfast Blend and Colombian, and different flavors, such as French Vanilla and Hazelnut. My faves are french vanilla and breakfast blend.
I started by trying the K-Cup® earlier last week and the decided to break out the french press to try out the ground coffee. They are both amazing, but of course, the french press is better because I can make the coffee as strong as I want it. I like to heat the water to boiling and pour the water into the french press after 30 seconds. Then, let the coffee brew for 45 seconds then stir and allow to brew for another 5 minutes. This method takes longer, but is worth the time if you have it. I usually don’t so I am happy that I did it this week.
