Let’s make fetch happen on National Fetch Day and beyond! We recently rescued our puppy, Brighton and have been working on fetch and lots of other puppy training.
After losing my beloved Harrison Ford, I missed having a companion to work at home with me. I scored the internet to find a rescue that checked all my boxes. I found Brighton at a local rescue called, With Love for the Animals. A few awesome people foster animals in their home and adopt them to awesome parents.
We think that Brighton is Chiweenie. His mom is a Chihuahua and was rescued from the street in Homestead when she was pregnant. So, we know that he is definitely a Chihuahua and the Dachshund is a educated guess based on Instagram searching Chihuahua mix. People say he looks like a mini pin, but both mini pins and Chihuahua’s have pointy ears and Brighton’s ears flop like a Dachshund.
National Fetch Day
Did you know that the 3rd Saturday of October is Chuckit! National Fetch Day?! October 19th will be the best dog party of the year. It’s an opportunity to bring awareness to the importance of bonding and exercising with our pets, and how the game of fetch offers both.
