This week I received an awesome massage from Elements Therapeutic Massage in Boca Raton. Lately, my neck has been killing me. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t a good night’s sleep in 6 months or because I am lifting my little, statically extra large baby all day. Either way, I have been consistently having neck pain for over a month to the point that my mobility is limited. I notice it most when I have to turn my whole body to look at my blind spot while driving. It is no fun at all.
The Spas hours are amazing! They realize that real people have jobs and need pampering too. I find it so objectionable when I see that spas close at 5! Are they kidding?! The people that need the massages the most cannot make it to the spa during working hours. Even now that I am working from home, in order to get to the spa, I have to wait until my husband is home so I can get a massage.
Elements Therapeutic Massage in Boca Raton is owned by a South Florida native, Michael Church who took over ownership of the spa in 2010 after opening and managing luxury hotel spa concepts for the Viceroy Hotel and Spa in both Miami and Anguilla. Church and his skilled and passionate team of over 20 licensed massage therapists have served the local community with the healing touch of therapeutic massage and have been met with strong success.
Michael’s philosophy revolves around the notion that, “Massage therapy goes hand-in-hand with living a balanced and healthy lifestyle. At Elements we are able to not only help our clients feel better and feel more relaxed but we directly impact how they interact with their loved ones at home, their friends, and even co-workers at the office.”
Elements also offers pre-natal and post-natal massages. This would be an awesome gift for an expectant or new mom like me. Hint Hint! A Swedish massage is a recommended prenatal massage method as it is effective in relieving many discomforts related to the changes in hormone levels, spinal and joint alignment, and circulation that are often experienced by pregnant women. The therapist uses long, gliding strokes and kneading and tapping techniques on the top layer of muscles; and may also manipulate the joints gently to improve range of motion. After delivery, Elements encourages their postnatal massages which focus on toning a new mother’s body and reducing fluid retention, eases the stresses of all the change you’re experiencing at home.
