Keep your Infant Busy during Hurricane Season with Duracell
Hurricane season is in full swing and will be hanging around until November 30. I have dealt with over 20 years of Hurricanes hitting South Florida without a hitch, but now I have someone else to worry about. That someone else is my adorable infant that has Gerber Baby level cheeks. See for yourself. Don’t you just want to eat her?!
I went shopping at Walmart with the munchkin to find some goodies to keep her occupied when or if the lights go out during hurricane season this year. I picked a ton of awesome items to keep your infant busy during hurricane season with Duracell
Get a Lamp that does not need to be plugged in and takes batteries instead. I found an awesome Coleman lamp that takes 4 Duracell batteries. The light makes it easy to read to the baby even if the lights are out.
Stock up on the books so that you have a variety of option to keep your infant busy.
Find a Radio that takes batteries instead of needing to be plugged. This is perfect for listening to tunes and keeping up with the hurricane news.
Buy Toys that light up and do not need to be plugged in.
I make most of the baby’s food, but during the hurricane, it is much easier to eat out of baby food pouches and drink liquid formula rather than powdered. Also, stock up on the snacks and canned foods for yourself as well. You can cook if you have grill and are able to go outside after the storm has passed.

We always use Duracell batteries. I love that they are reliable and have long expiration dates. It’s funny how many we go through now that we have a little one!
We don’t have hurricane season up here, but we do stock up for winters in New England with lots of batteries, generator, candles and blankets- because the heat drops FAST!

Luckily we don’t get hurricanes where we live, but we get severe storms and the power will go out for a long time. We keep a storm kit with snacks and plenty of battery operated lights.
These are all great tips. It’s so important to keep the little ones distracted during any sort of emergency situation. The less focused they are on the scary things happening around them the better.

Those are great tips! We always stock up on batteries and water before big storms. We have a good supplies of flashlights and lamps that all require batteries. And the weather radio is super important to.
