Thanks to Carvel for sponsoring this yummy post. All opinions are my own.
This weekend I had the pleasure of trying out Nutella soft ice cream with my family. It was amazing and delicious! I am excited to announce that Carvel® is celebrating Free Cone Day Thursday, April 30 from 3-8 p.m. Participating Carvel® shoppes will treat guests to a free junior cone filled with their choice of freshly made vanilla, chocolate or the limited-time soft ice cream made with Ferrero’s Nutella® hazelnut spread. YUM!!
Give Back to American Red Cross
In addition to enjoying free soft ice cream, guests are encouraged to help raise money for the American Red Cross on Free Cone Day. Throughout the day, Carvel will offer a $2 coupon book worth more than $20 in savings. All proceeds from sales of the coupon books will go toward a $20,000 donation to support the organization’s disaster relief efforts. This year, Carvel will surpass $125,000 in total contributions to the American Red Cross since 2012.
“Free Cone Day is always an exciting time but this year is extra special because guests can try our wildly popular soft ice cream made with Nutella® – absolutely free,” said Carvel President Scott Colwell. “We hope everyone visits their nearest participating Carvel shoppe to enjoy our delicious ice cream and help us support the American Red Cross.”
Until May 31, guests can try a variety of ice cream treats that feature Nutella® including an all-new Thick Shake, hand-scooped ice cream and a Sundae Dasher™ with Chocolate Crunchies.

Nutella® Hazelnut Spread
Nutella® hazelnut spread was originally introduced by Ferrero in Italy in the 1960’s and first imported to the U.S. over 25 years ago. The popularity of Nutella® has grown steadily over the years, and it is the number one selling branded hazelnut spread in America.
People of all ages enjoy Nutella®, which gets its unique taste from ingredients like roasted hazelnuts, skim milk and cocoa. In addition, Nutella® is gluten free and has no artificial colors or preservatives. It can be found in grocery stores, warehouse clubs and mass merchandisers, and is generally found near the peanut butter and sweet spreads section.
Nutella® celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2014. As part of the celebration, the Nutella® “Spread the Happy” Truck Tour visited 16 cities in the U.S. last year. For more information, go to nutellausa.tumblr.com.
I went to the East Boca Carvel, but you can find a Carvel near you here.
