I remember hearing from a group of guys when I was in college that the hotter the girl, the messier the car. All I can say is that I should be way hotter than I am! My car is usually a hot mess! I juggle family time and work time pretty effectively, but cleaning time is not a priority for me. Today, I challenged myself to clean my car in 15 minutes. As soon as I walked back into the house, my husband asked if I was speed cleaning. Were you out there 15 minutes? I proudly said yes! If it only takes me 15 minutes to clean my car, then I have no problem allocating that time weekly!
How to Clean Out your Car in 15 Minutes
Start you car clean out by grabbing two large containers and two trash bags.
Line each side of one container with a trash bag. One bag is for trash, and other is for items that need to be cleaned. I am really bad about leaving cups and water bottles in my car.
Open up the car doors in and put the containers within tossing distance.
The second container is for stuff you need to empty out of your car. This is the stuff that I mostly physically toss into the container. I only place the stuff in there if it is breakable or I know that it won’t make the journey safely.
Using sanitizing wipes or baby wipes, quickly clean hard surfaces in the car and wipe out the cupholders. If there are any stains on the seats, use the wipes to scrub the out.
Shake out the rugs.
The last thing that I did to make the car smell amazing was add Yankee Candle® on-the-go Smart Scent Vent Clip. I found a few amazing smelling Yankee Candle car fresheners at Walmart this week.
Now that I have shared some quick car cleaning tips with you, do you have any cleaning tips for me?
I installed a Command hook on the side of my console to wrap wayward charging cords from the cigarette lighter. I can’t stand people getting in my car and stepping on cords! #client
