New York Fashion Week was a blast! I was asked to attend as the official NYFW correspondent for Payless Shoe Source. It was awesome because I was able to attend the Christian Siriano Fashion Show, Interview Christian Siriano about his new high fashion collection and his new collection for Payless.
I started my weekend NY at the fabulous Dream Hotel! It is one of those trendy hotels that is always lively. It is perfectly situated so I could run to the shows with ease!
I bought a few outfits for the trip styling the new Christian Siriano for Payless bags and shoes. My first look has these amazing fringe sandals and matching cross body bag. There are so many things in my closet that these would go with, but I just had to go shopping. I found a classic equipment silk dress that I layered under a BCBG top with my Karen Walker Sunglasses.
My second look was for the Christian Siriano fashion show. I leaned into the boho chic look with an army green floral dress (saw it at this fashion show) that has elastic at the waist creating a waist without discomfort and the Christian Siriano for Payless fringe bag and snake print cap toe pumps. Christian approved of the look commenting that “you look fabulous.” I was flying high after that comment! It’s a pretty awesome feeling when the designer approves of your styling.
Christian Siriano is very active in the creation of his Payless pieces and seeks to help women wear his shoes and accessories every day. Here is the video of the interview with Christian Siriano on Periscope. You can follow me at April Golightly on periscope.
