Mommy and Me Swim Day

My daughter and I spend a lot of time in the pool and at the beach during the spring and summer season. As soon as it warms up just a little here, she asks to go in the pool every day. It is cute how excited she gets when we talk about the beach or the pool. Last year, she would just pull off her clothes as soon as she saw the pool. This year, she is slightly more patient, and I am more prepared. I have a bag ready with bathing suits, change of clothes, towels, and cold drinks.

I love spending time with my daughter in the water. Swimming was one of my favorite summer activities growing up. I am beyond excited to see that she loves it as much as I do. She also loves Disney as much as I do. It is so cool to see your kids follow in your footsteps. She sleeps with a Minnie Mouse pillow, Frozen blanket, and Ariel toddler doll. The Little Mermaid and Minnie Mouse are her favorite characters, but she is also into Sofia the First, Anna from Frozen and Rapunzel. All braids are called “punzel” hair!

Last week, I was walking around Walmart looking for swim diapers when I found this awesome Minnie Mouse diaper bag. I showed my daughter and she immediately exclaimed Minnie Mouse!!! I love Disney Baby at Walmart!! We aren’t toting that many diapers around anymore (woohoo!!), but this bag is our new go-to summer bag. Why didn’t I find this bag sooner? It has a fantastic price point at $24.84. It is called the Disney Baby Minnie Mouse Diaper Bag. I love that the bag comes with lots of pockets (inside and on the outside), Minnie Mouse themed stroller clips, Minnie Mouse bow print bottle holder, Minnie Mouse bow print pacifier holder and changing pad.

I keep this bag packed and in the car so that we can be ready to swim at any time of day. Here is what I pack in the bag so that we are ready to go at all times:

I try extremely hard to put together looks that are mommy and me themed. The best way that I found to match without looking overly matchy is by matching similar prints or colors. Here I am wearing a basic black bathing suit to complement my daughter’s stripe bathing suit.

My daughter’s favorite part of the Minnie Mouse bag is the Minnie Mouse bow print pacifier holder. She thinks it is her own Minnie Mouse purse. I love watching her play with it and fill it with accessories and little toys.

For Mother’s Day this year, my daughter and I headed up to Disney for the weekend. The new Minnie Mouse diaper bag was the perfect addition to our Disney gear for the weekend. We bounded for a few days at Disney World wearing Minnie themed outfits as well. I love sharing the Disney Magic with her on Mother’s Day and every day.
