It is getting hotter and hotter outside this summer. I have been on the hunt for some creative activities that keep us cool indoors. The pool is fun, but you can only take so much sun. I stumbled upon Michaels Camp Creativity online last week and was super excited when they agreed to sponsor this blog post. Michaels has a ton of different activities for different age ranges. My daughter is 3 so we went with one of the basic coloring creativity classes.
The class focused around coloring Nemo and Dory sheets on hard card stock to create an underwater theme. My daughter really got into the coloring and was so happy to color some of her favorite characters. She had a blast as you can see.
Each week has a theme. This week it was under the sea. All the classes center around theme. Some of themes coming up are: Castles, Woodlands, The Secret Life of Pets, and Monsters. The classes are a steal at one $5 per class and 3 for $12. This Nemo and Dory coloring class was only $2 and you only pay for the kids.
Michaels Camp Creativity is designed for kids age 3-8. Each Camp session begins at 10am and has two projects plus a journal activity and related coloring sheets. Adults can join in the fun in the Michaels classroom or spend some time shopping at Michaels during Camp.
Face Paint Friday
As a bonus, every Friday is Face Paint Friday. Every kid in the Michaels class can get free face painting!
Create something awesome at Michaels Camp Creativity! You can join Camp Creativity Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting June 13 – July 29 from 10 a.m. to Noon. Every week has a special theme for the projects. It’s a great way for the kids to unplug and express their creativity! Learn more about Camp Creativity HERE.
