I have been using hem tape to adjust my pants for as long as I can remember. I discovered hem tape over 25 years and have been using it to DIY my pants and jeans for years. It is a great no sew solution that allows you to hem something on the fly. After wearing jeans shorts all summer long, I realized that I am sick and tired of trying to keep my cuffed jeans shorts in place. Cuffed jean shorts are usually only sewn in the corners and they lose their cuff in the middle after only one wash. Skipping washing is not an option in this summer heat. Instructions
Open the area where the shorts are cuffed.
Make sure that the tape will fit into the crease without being seen.
Remove tape from backing, position inside the hem and rub firmly in place.
Slowly peel off the backing to expose adhesive.
Fold fabric over tape and rub firmly.
Hemming and Washing Tips
Remove Scotch™ Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape before washing, ironing or dry cleaning. If you want the hem to be permanent, use the Scotch™ Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips which can be washed as it holds securely through cold water wash and low temperature dry cycle.
