Making the Cut Season 3
Winning Look from Sienna Li
The first winner of the season is Sienna Li. She is from China and is based in New York and started her womenswear brand in 2015. Her work is very etherial and feminine.
This season the Making the Cut shop is working with the designers on capsule collections to go with the winning looks and expand their designs.
Sienna Li did an amazing evening wear look for the runway and the accessible look was even better. I fell in love immediately with the ruffles and the wrap neckline. OBSESSED does not cover my feelings with styling and creations.
For her capsule collection, she went all in with tops and jackets that capture the neckline of the original dress.
Sienna’s capsule collection has something for every body type!
Winning Look Rafael Chaouiche
The winner of episode 2 – Rafael Chaouiche just learned english to come on the show. He is from Brazil and has a very cool style that I was super excited to see.
The second episode was a collaboration with Champion where the designers created athletic pieces.
Rafael Chaouiche created amazing pieces for the accecessible look that is now available on Amazon.
I love his winning look with the vest, mesh top over a tube top, and puddle pants.
The winning look showed the puddle pants in red, but I snagged them in black. They are amazing pants for fall and winter since they are made out of sweat pant material.
I love the cut of the pants, but the puddling is not for my petite frame. I wore them in the photo with the highest platforms I have to make them work, but they were still skimming the floor.
I would normally alter the pants, but the logo is right smack on the bottom and the pants would lose their appeal and big bell.
I do love the capsule collection where he added hoodies with heart details. I am planning on ordering one for my daughter since she lives in sweatshirts at school. It gets cold indoors in Florida with the AC running 24-7.
