Do you remember watching Adventure’s in Babysitting as a kid? It was one of my favorite films. I cannot even tell you how many times I have seen. Close to 50 I think. Adventure’s in Babysitting brings you back in time to your childhood. They hit the fun and silliness of the original with several nods, like the cool coat, to original. This past April, I went to L.A. with 24 other bloggers to interview the stars of the new movie. I am happy to share with you the detail of the exclusive interview with Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson about Adventures in Babysitting.

Sabrina Carpenter & Sofia Carson Exclusive Interview on Adventures in Babysitting
The group of blogger that were interviewing the stars were dying to know all about the off camera fun that the girls had together. You could tell just by talking to Sabrina Carpenter (Jen) and Sofia Carson (Lola) that they have an awesome relationship off camera even though there was conflict between the characters in the new movie. They joked with us that they did not like each other at all. They were pretty funny and continued to joke with us and each other. Sabrina told us that Sofia is not funny. Sofia agreed that she was not funny and applauded the script writers for making her funny.
The girls told us that Sofia did all her stunts. She made us all sad when she told us that she got hurt doing the stunt where she is running with her painting. She called this stunt the “lamest stunt ever.”
Since the movie revolves around the craziness of the babysitting world, we asked the girls about their funniest babysitting story. Sabrina told us she “locked a babysitter out of the house. because she wasn’t a great babysitter.
We asked the actors about how they were similar to their characters. Sofia Carson let us know that she is kind of an in between. “Lola is this really cool free spirited young girl who isn’t afraid to just live life, despite the consequences of sometimes making irresponsible decisions. But she’s really passionate about her art. And a very strong girl. I’m also very passionate about our music and acting.” Sofia decided to answer for both of them and said, “we are both independent girls. We both have really strong, incredible moms. They taught us to be strong girls, represent girl power. Lola and Jenny are both like that. Although Jenny would know she’s a little bit more inside the box, she’s still a strong, powerful young girl. And, we both save the day together.”
We asked about their favorite scenes from the movie. Sabrina said her favorite scenes is the rap battle and a few others. “I just really love the simple bathroom makeover scene for Jenny. Just because she’s not getting a full makeover where they’re glaming her up and making her look like someone she’s not. But, just letting her hair down in a way where she can be a little bit more adventurous like Lola”.
Sofia also said that the rap battle scene was her favorite. “We got to be rappers for the first time in our lives. It was just such a fun scene to shoot. The music was awesome. The energy in the club was great. The kids were cute and hysterical. We had a great shoot.”
Sofia and Sabrina are all about girl power and are excited to be mentors for girls to look up to. Sofia told us about how honored she is to be in this position. “It is an honor to be able to be in a position where we can influence young girls. It’s a big responsibility, but it’s a beautiful responsibility.” The characters in that Sofia and Sabrina are portraying have extremely big dreams.
Sabrina said, “the fact that we’ve been able to figure out those dreams and not only get to do them every day, but love what we do every day is an inspiration to girls everywhere, and boys. She wants to see girls do what they love “so that way they don’t have to work a day in their life.” This is an extremely millenial attitude that I am completely on board with. That is why I love blogging and I feel like work is never really work in the traditional sense because I love every minute. I am so happy to see these girls inspiring girls everywhere. It makes me happy to see such fine examples of girl power and confidence.
