Bathing suit season is full swing and bandeau bathing suits are my summer trend alert. This summer, bandeau bathing suit will definitely be a staple around the swimming pool and beach resorts. A strapless bandeau flatters smaller busted women. Beading, ruffles, a twist or tie in the middle, and fringes add depth to smaller breasts.

A one piece bandeau bathing suit will look great on women who want to hide a large mid-section. Also, the one piece works for women prefer a more conservative bathing suit. The one piece bandeau also hits the huge summer retro trend. The darker the color the more the bathing suit will hide.

Pastel color bandeau bathing suits work perfectly with dark skin tones. You definitely have to be tan to wear pastels on the beach.

Halter bandeau bathing suit tops work better for women with larger breasts. Dark colors are key to minimize a larger parts. If love print, but are a little heavier, go with a print that’s small and classic-like little dots or little pineapples.

Large bold prints are perfect for smaller and boyish figures. Some of the more popular patterns this season include floral, jungle and animal prints.

  1. I have one of these- a one-piece halter. When I was bathing suit shopping they seemed to ALL be bandeaus this year- I love that style but I definitely need the halter portion so I was glad when I found some with attachable straps!

  2. Polka dots are so fun and classic! I’ve only tried a bandeau once and it must have been the wrong size because even on my small bust it felt like it was riding up or falling off the entire day.

  3. I don’t wear bikinis in general, so I like that navy one you pictured, although I’d still feel more comfortable with some straps or a tie 🙂
