Last week, I wore DJ Play that Song by Essie. As the week went on the tips of my nails began to chip. That is when I pulled out Trophy Wife by Essie. Instead of taking off DJ Play that Song, I painted the tips of my nails with Trophy Wife creating a modern French Manicure. This is not my first modern manicure. I have put together some awesome pairs like my mermaid French manicure.

Shopping for perfume is so much fun especially when you can find great deals on celebrity perfumes like Someday by Justin Beiber. Walmart has an amazing selection of celebrity perfumes and colognes that you would normally find at department stores at higher prices. Celebrity perfumes are offered at Walmart’s Every Day Low Prices. I was able to try out the smell with a scratch and sniff sticker on the box. Of course, this was not my first time smell the perfume. I fell in love with the scent over a year ago, but did not want to spend the money that department stores were charging for it. I found it for nearly 40% off the price that is being charged at department stores. Love the savings!

This week for Manicure Monday, I am wearing Boom Boom Room from Essie. I discovered this color at the nail salon a few day before giving birth to Cami. I got both my toes and nails done with the color. It was so nice to have my nails done so girly for when my little girl came out! Also, the name of the color is so silly and awesome! LOVE IT!!

Salon Verde is a green salon located in Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida. The Salon uses all Davines products! I adore the smell and feel of my hair after using Davines products. Salon Verde is also used Davines color which I did not even know existed! I have not tried the Davines dye yet, but I am dying to (pun intended).

Zpro is an ultra modern hair and nail salon in the Fountain Plaza (7600 West Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33433) next to Asia and The Butcher’s Block. Everything in the salon is ultra modern with the primary colors being white, chrome, and purple. Everyone at the Salon is super nice. I couldn’t get a babysitter that day and everyone chipped in to help so I could get hair and nails done. Tammy Wayne did my nails. I picked Little Brown Dress from Essie for both my hands and toes. I like that there are 2 locations to get manicures. 2 tables are the first floor and 2 other tables on the second. With the 2 areas for nails, and you can choose your experience. The upstairs nail section is a spa experience, and the downstairs is more of a hair salon experience. You get to pick!
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month a few local fashion bloggers got together to help with fashion for a cause. I went shopping all over town looking for pink items for the photo shoot. I found a pair of Dolce Vita neon purple pumps at Plato’s Closet in Boca Raton, Florida.
Anushka Salon & Spa is the first spa that I have visited in a while that impressed the pants off me. Founder of Anushka Salon & Spa, Anushka believes in personal service, and it is obvious in speaking with her and everyone that works for her. Burberry’s Fall 2013 runway was one of my favorite runways this year. The heart print tops, dress, bags, and shoes make me want to wear heart print all the time. I have not found any heart print outfits that work on me yet, but I am definitely on the hunt. I put a collage together for you below that shows some of the heart print items that are available in stores. As I try them on, I will let you know how they look and also show you pictures. Fall is around the corner and I am loving this Rococo Red nail polish from Nuance Salma Hayek. The color reminds me of the amazing red lips that were all over the runway this fall. Nuance Salma Hayek is only sold at CVS stores. The pictures with yellow background is where I painted 2 coats. The color of the polish is much deeper than the bottle. With one coat the color is lighter than in the bottle. Great price at $5.99 per bottle. I like both color so I cannot complain!
I found Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Nail Polish at the drug store the other day. Sally Hansen says Fuzzy Nails and I say Tweed Nails! There are many colors of including a few different blue and greens. I chose the black and white Fuzzy Coat called Tweed because it reminded me of Chanel’s Tweed Suit. I put on 2 coats and topped off the edge. I had to paint my hand a little to get into the corner, but that might be because I can’t see very well. It worked out fine as about an hour later, I washed my hands and picked that part off my skin.
I am obviously on a mermaid kick! Check out last weeks, MANIcure MonDAY post! I might be just excited to watch the little mermaid will my daughter, Cami. I would love if I could find an awesome mermaid costume for her first Halloween. It will be here before you know it! Until then, I am going to continue wearing my Mermaid’s Dream Nail Polish by Deborah Lippmann. Today, I layered it over a cream colored chalky nail polish called Mod in Manhattan by Color Club. I received it in my Birch Box a few months ago.
I decided to institute Manicure Mondays in a effort to keep my nails looking presentable now that I am a mommy. This way my followers will keep me accountable! I started using this cuticle dissolving lotion by Blue Cross. It makes it really easy to do my own nails because I don’t have to cut my cuticles. In the past, I have always gone a little overboard on cutting down my cuticles in that I end up cutting myself. This way I can leave the cuticle cutter alone and focus on just polishing my nails. Today, I painted my nails with Mojito Madness by Essie and Whimsical by Revlon. The color that comes from layering the milky blue from Whimsical over Mojito Madness looks very similar to Mermaid Tears by OPI that I wore here and here.
I went to SoBlo last week for the second time to get my hair done for a blogger event hosted by Kristen Clark of Living In Color Print. Kristen is FSU Alum and Style Setter for Boca Town Center which is now basically in my backyard. Kristen is a sweetheart! In my outfit, I chose to wear polka dot skinny jeans and a white tank. I accented with some color by adding teal pumps, watch, and sunglasses. You can accent with your favorite color accessories or just go neutral. In summer, I would add color, but in winter I would go with neutrals like black, brown or gray.
