How to Clean for the Holidays

During the holidays, I love getting the house ready for guests by giving it a really good clean. There is nothing than a very clean and organized home. Since I don’t have time to organize the house to the extent I would like, cleaning is my go-to way to keep the house nice.

First, I change all the sheets so that everything is fresh for my guests. Then, I do all the laundry and put it all away. Doing laundry throws dust and particles. Make sure it done before you start really cleaning the house. Otherwise, you are going to dust twice.

Next, I start dusting the walls using a long-armed duster. You can also use the duster to clean off the furniture and lights.

I clean out all the lighting fixtures by dusting and taking off the globes to get all the grossness that might have built up.

Once everything is dusted and picked up off the floors, I start by carpet cleaning with my new ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner and sweeping the floors before I mop them.
