This is the second season in a row that I have engaged college photography interns to help lift the media load off both me and Kevin, my husband. It helps build the interns portfolio and gain exposure online with links to their work on April Golightly.
My first intern was Shanna Ferris and my second intern is Brooke Strange. Both of them are lovely young women that are still working on their undergraduate degrees. They have given me a new found father in the next generation of graduates.

Today, I found this new program on Amazon called #AmazonWishList that is perfect for putting together care package for college students like my interns. I found a cool way to help them with their laundry. The Tide, Downy, & Bounce Laundry Care Bundle Pack. It is great for any student as it includes everything you need to get fresh, clean clothes. These Tide pods allow you to wash complicated pieces like that black and white color block top without the fear that it will bleed. I always keep them in my laundry room for these complicated pieces.

What would you include in your college care package?
That is really cool. This is the first I’ve heard of #AmazonWishList to add items. What a great idea. What a great gift a subscription to Tide Pods would be, especially for a student. The are so much more convenient to carry than a heavy bottle. I know I would have loved this when I was in college!
Great for college or for moms like me who cannot keep from drowning in the sea of dirty clothes from my 5 kids!
Amazon makes life and gift giving so much easier! I sure do love you ideas for the college kids. If I were to pack up a care package I would include a 6 pack of a power drink of some sort, some snacks like Smart pop popcorn, Gel pens, a college sport theme T-shirt, cute socks, a scrap book to keep their memories in,some laundry soap,a stadium blanket & a gift card to a fast food
I love Amazon! We’re using the wishlists this year to keep track of what the kids want for Christmas and so we can do online shopping vs in-store. I think it will be easier!
My step son is going off to college next year, so we will be sending him lots of care packages.
What a great idea! I love that amazon makes everything so much easier and I love that it allows you to subscribe so you can send the same product to your college kid every month and you don’t even have to worry about re-ordering it.
Food! College kid always need food and snacks right?! lol

This is the perfect care package for any kid in college. You can’t go wrong with highlighters and Tide.
We have an adopted “foster” college student, and I make a care package for her each semester. These are great ideas to add to it!

I would include snacks and easy to prepare food. My son is in college and his cooking skills are limited.
A good care package always has cleaning supplies and microwavable food. Those are the two biggies when you’re in college.
