What is more magical than Christmas? How about a Disney World Christmas! If you have ever been curious about spending this holiday in Disney World, here are 10 reasons you have to make this happen, at least once.
This Is Why You Need To Go to A Disney World Christmas Celebration
Disney World for Christmas brings a nice festiveness to my family and me. Orlando is much colder than South Florida, so you get the feeling of winter with the weather and the snow that comes through Mainstreet USA in Walt Disney World. Here are the 10 Reasons to Go To Disney World for Christmas.
Use this list to convince someone to go with you. Or maybe you’ll use this list to convince yourself!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade
The Parade is one of the coolest parts of the Mickey’s Very Christmas Party. All the floats are dressed up for the holidays. I love it and not to be missed. If you think you can make it until midnight, you should watch the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade at 11 PM. Take the opportunity to skip the long lines on things like the Mine Train and Thunder Mountain while everyone else is at the first parade.

Elsa’s Transformation of Cinderella’s Castle
This is so magical! Who better to bring the magic of a winter holiday to Disney world than Elsa? All the lights will take your breath away. You won’t forget this moment.
-
Free Treat Stands
Get free treats all over the park with the free treat stands like cookies, chocolate milk, and hot cocoa. Free food at Disney World is probably one of the best thing about going to Disney World at Christmas.
-
Shorter Lines
The Very Merry Christmas Party starts at 7 PM, but you can get into the parks at 4 PM with your ticket. Since there are fewer people in the parks, your line wait times will be reduced. People are also focused on the parades, free treats, and character appearances. You can get through it all a lot quicker if you focus on your favorite rides and pay attention to wait times on the Disney World app. That thing is amazing!

“Snow” down Main Street USA
The snow down Main Street USA is a fun way to experience the festive precipitation without the freezing weather needed for snow. It is actually soap! I really love that everyone at Disney tries to make it a very magical Christmas with this fun little detail.
-
Special Character Appearances
You can see characters like Ariel and Prince Eric on dry land. Normally, you can only see Ariel as a mermaid in the grotto during normal park hours. Check out the app to see who else you can visit. There are lots of special appearances that only happen during Christmas.
-
Candlelight Vigil at Epcot
Watch how your favorite actors and singers tell the story of Christmas with a beautiful candlelight vigil in front of America at Epcot. The sounds of the music will truly take your breath away. If you enjoy celebrating Christmas with music, then you have to make a stop at Epcot.

Festive Decor all Over Disney World
There is fantastic Christmas decor all over Disney World and even Disney Springs. I love all the trees and Disney Christmas decor. Make it a game to see how many hidden Mickeys you can find in the Christmas decorations!
-
Special Christmas Disney Merchandise You Can’t Get Anywhere Else
You can get exclusive Christmas and holiday Disney merchandise that is only available during the Christmas Party. I love this Alex and Ani bracelet that you can get to commemorate the attendance of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Save up and do almost all your Christmas shopping at Disney world. There is a ton of limited-edition merch here that your family will flip out over.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Show at Cinderella’s Castle
I love the projections on the castle for Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Show. They are just the cutest. Mickey and Minnie are having a party during the show, and every time the bell rings to let a new guest in, the castle changes. It is super cute! Also, the music is fantastic! My fave is the cell phone song, and All I Want for Christmas is You.
There you have it! These 10 reasons will hopefully convince you to experience a Disney World Christmas.
