With the Fall season upon us, it was only befitting that The Galleria Mall of Fort Lauderdale, Florida would host it’s first bloggers-only Fall Social Season Fashion Preview.  And, what a success it was! In conjunction with Michael Goodman of Goodman Public Relations, Melissa Milroy, Galleria’s Senior Marketing Manager, threw a magnificent afternoon soiree worthy of any fashion connoisseur.

Upon arrival at The Capital Grille, we were escorted to a private dining room that was beautifully stylized by Chad Cox, Fashion Stylist, Photographer, and Professor at Art Institute of Miami, to begin our fashion feast for the eyes :))
Chad had pulled 2 clothing racks full of looks from various shops found right within The Galleria, as well as 2 tables replete with shoes, handbags, and accessories for both men and women. Looks were pulled from The Galleria’s world-class anchor department stores Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Dillard’s, as well as sought-after specialty name-brand stores such as Banana Republic, Coach, Cole Haan, Gap, J.Crew, Michael Kors, Lucky Brand, Sephora, Vans, and Victoria’s Secret just to name a few. With over one-hundred luxurious stores available for your shopping pleasure, The Galleria is undoubtedly a shopping destination for everyone!

Of-the-moment looks for Fall (for both men and women) included fabrics in leather, lace, neoprene, rhinestones, sequins, faux fur, and a personal favorite…tweed. These stylish textiles showed up in very fashionable variations shown on everything from suits, gowns and coats to jumpsuits, dresses, bags, and accessories.

During our preview, we were generously treated to a delicious lunch served by The Capital Grille, whose impeccable service is right on par with their outstanding menu. As a group, we sampled shrimp cocktail, pan-fried calamari, and lobster and crab cake appetizers, signature steaks, seafood salads, and chilean sea bass entrees, then creme brulee, flourless chocolate espresso cake, handcrafted ice creams, and coconut creme pie desserts. It was a foodie’s heaven…ahhh. I cannot go without mentioning The Galleria of Fort Lauderdale is home to other exciting restaurants and lounges that include Blue Martini, Truluck’s, Seasons 52, and P.F. Changs, as well as other specialty foods such as Godiva Chocolatier and Teavana located within the mall.
Post lunch, Melissa and Michael walked us over to Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa, located within The Galleria, where we had our choice to receive manicures, makeup applications, or massages. The Spa even houses a mini restaurant catered by The Capital Grille. The facilities were impeccable, the staff was extremely cordial, and the services were delightful. I will definitely be paying a return visit! If you are looking to check out and up and coming area close to the mall, check out FAT Village.
The Galleria’s “amenities include valet parking, ATM, currency exchange, complimentary strollers and wheelchairs, multi-lingual guest service staff, and mailbox”.  Or, if you prefer, you may choose to park in one of their hundred’s of covered parking spaces, perfect for South Florida’s hot and rainy weather!

  1. I go to Ft Lauderdale once a year or so- didn’t ever think to check out their mall. It sounds like I’ve got some shopping to do!
