WOOOOOOOOOOO! Okay, pardon the Ric Flair moment, but the sequel to my favorite Marvel movie of the last few years has just commenced filming. Principal photography commenced at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta Georgia on February 17th for the film which is due to hit theaters May 5, 2017.
The movie is written and directed by James Gunn, who performed the same duties on the first film. Returning will be Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon. Huge news is that Kurt Russel has joined the cast to play Peter Quills father! Really looking forward to that.
The first movie was a huge hit with both critics and fans, and earned nearly $770 million dollars at the box office. Which is a mind-blowing amount.
