How awesome is social media? As a lover of all things fashion, I think it just the coolest thing to be able to connect to my favorite designers and fashionistas on Twitter and Facebook. For example, I recently interviewed Kenneth Cole for South Florida Opulence Magazine and after that we started following each other on Twitter. It brightens my day when I see that my readers like something that I have written by liking it on Facebook, retweeting, and pinning on Pinterest.

Hashtags are the ultimate way to share a group experiences with the social media world, your friends, and followers. When I go to events, it’s so much more fun when the group shares a hashtag to denote what’s going on. If you cannot make it to New York Fashion Week, you can follow the hashtag #NYFW to get the moment by moment details on the shows and street fashion surrounding it.
