I’m sharing #Tide in my life as part of a Tide sponsored series for Socialstars™. All opinion are my own.
I adore traveling, but I hate dealing with my luggage after a fun trip. In the past, it has ended up in the middle of the floor filled for weeks. Life happens around it, and I can’t find my favorite shoes and where did my mascara go. That is why I put together this game plan so that you know what to do and the suitcase right after a trip does not feel overwhelming. The main way to make it easier on yourself is to separate your stuff into bags within your luggage. You should have a toiletry bag, jewelry roll, shoe bags for each pair you bring, a bag for souvenirs that you bought on your trip, makeup bag, documents bag, and a medicine cabinet bag. Here are my tips on how to do laundry after traveling.
Quarantine the Luggage
Keep your luggage out of your bedroom! You never know what you might have brought back from your travels. If you quarantine your luggage and keep it out of your bedroom, you will have more control over the situation.
Everything Goes Into the Laundry
I know that you want to take out the stuff that you didn’t wear and put it in your closet, but I have to tell you that they are probably dirty. Your luggage interior is not the cleanest thing because of your packed shoes and dirty clothes. You want to kick germs to the curb with Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs. To enjoy excellent cleaning results, use 4-in-1 laundry pacs to clean, brighten, fight stains and protect your clothes.
Tide PODS® Plus Downy is the first detergent pac that helps transform the washing machine into a safe place that cleans, conditions, protects the clothing you love. They work with both high efficiency and standard washers. Make sure the PODS go in BEFORE the clothes! For large loads, you should throw in 2x Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® to ensure everything comes out clean and fresh! Keep out of reach of children.
Pull Out Souvenirs
Put your souvenirs in one place until you have time to find homes for them in your house.
Put All your Bags Away
Take your travel organizing bags out of the luggage and put them where they belong so that you can put everything away later. If you forget to do this, you’ll be missing out on your much need toiletries, makeup, hair tools, and your favorite shoes. When you pack, it’s best to keep your items bagged up separately so you can pull them out like this when you get home.
Clean & Put Away Luggage
Give your luggage a once over to make sure that it’s all clean and bed bug-free. Then, clean the inside and outside with bacteria-killing cleanser. Once the luggage is dry, put it away.
