How to successfully snack on the go might seem like a no-brainer, but when was the last time your found yourself starving in front of a fast food joint and had to go in because you were unprepared. It happens more times than I would like to admit, and I am only working part-time from home! I can’t imagine working full-time at an office, caring for my daughter, and remembering to feed myself.

The only way that I manage to remember to feed myself properly is by planning in advance on Saturday or Sunday for the following week. I have a little section of the fridge that is designated as my on-the-go food. It is off limits to the rest of the house while in the house. They are free to take it on the road with them, but they cannot consume it in the house. I don’t make it easy because I make these snack goodies so fun that my husband is always trying to convince me to open them up to house consumption. My shelf is looking pretty after a long week.

The way I make the snacking work is that I grab a drink and two snacks every time I walk out the door. Then, I keep either grocery bags or small garbage bags in my center consul for easy clean up of orange peels. If you are trying to be green, I’m all for using a reusable grocery bag as a trash bag. This will aid in the recycling when you get in the house. As I write this, I am totally doing this from now on! Every time, I walk out of the car towards the house, I take the eaten or uneaten food with me. If it is still intact, I put it away, and if it is trash, I recycle it or throw it out. This helps keep you away from fast food and in control of your successful snacking.

This week I am focusing one seedless and easy peel tangerines with Snapple® Straight Up™ Tea in Sweet. I tried all three levels of sweetness in an 18.5 oz (plastic) bottle and Sweet is my fave at the moment. I have been craving sugar, and this is just enough to make me happy. As I don’t need as much sugar, I will be moving to the Snapple® Straight Up™ Tea Sorta Sweet. All three are awesome, but Sweet and Sort Sweet are my faves. Straight Up™ Tea has a Real brewed tea taste combining refreshing real brewed tea taste with the perfect level of sweetness. I found them in the drink aisle at Walmart.

  2. I tend to get caught up in my work, and forget to eat. Then I get super hungry and eat crap. The idea of carrying good snacks in my purse would be a really good idea.

  3. I like the idea to have a snack area in the fridge. I want to get in the habit of packing snacks because many times my errands run longer than I expected.
