We have been debating whether we were going to sell our home. Instead of selling, we are working on getting our home to look better.
Here are a few ways that we have added a little spruce to our home without spending a fortune. They are fun ideas.
No More Carpet
First, we removed our rugs and added waterproof wood flooring. I have allergies and hate wall to wall carpeting. I prefer a carpet that I can throw in the wash when it gets dirty.
My husband has been laying the floors himself on the weekends to save money and avoid having to have workers in our home. It has been a slow process, but the transformation is worth it.
Curb Appeal
Next, I am adding some mulch, rocks and lights to my front yard to add a little curb appeal. These FlameBrite lights from Brightology are a great choice for a beautiful warm lighting for the evening. They are solar powered and give a nice warm glow to the front yard.

Flamebright has a dusk activated function that will turn the light on automatically in the evening. It gives your landscape up to 8 hours of beautiful soft light!
All you have to do is turn them on and steak them into the grass. You can also remove the steaks to set them on tables for a warm setting on an outdoor patio.Ā
You can also use them with artificial grass by pushing them into edge of artificial grass. If you are in California, you can get artificial grass in thousand palms ca.
You can save money on expensive installations and there are no obstructing wires or plug ins. Here in Florida we have a ton of rain. It is awesome that they are weather resistant and will work in the rain! It only takes 5 minutes to set up and enjoy your beautiful yard.
Purging Stuff
We are rearranging the house and doing some purging of unnecessary items. It is a great way to declutter the house and give to charity at the same time. I found a local charity that does pick up so that I can donate from my front door.
As we remove items from the house and only keep what we love, I have set aside any empty containers to use for organizing. I refuse to buy any new containers until after the house is completely organized.
I find that if you have more containers, you feel like you should fill them up. I am trying to reuse the containers, future, and decor I have until it is all donated or has a home in my house.
There were some containers that I knew that I would not be able to use that I donated to the charity that I adopted my dog from. They always need containers!
Next, we are planning on doing small updates to the bathrooms with new backsplashes and some paint.

How are you upgrading your home?
When choosing an apartment, pay attention to the fact that the solar activity and your lifestyle correspond to each other ā it is problematic to start the day with a good mood if you do not like bright rays in the morning.
Even small changes in details can transform the familiar atmosphere of an apartment. If there is an empty wall, then there is also room for change. Invest in your property with a fresh coat of paint. It will look gorgeous š Great article, thanks for sharing it here.
