This is a compensated post. As always, all opinions are my own.

A few weeks ago, I went to the Lenny Kravitz concert in Miami on the outskirts of Wynwood for Walmart Soundcheck. It was a very secretive event that required that we leave our phone in the car.  It was insanity for me because as a blogger, I live tweet and Instagram everything. Also, I was meeting a friend and I was concerned she would not be able to find me. Luckily, we found each other in the intimate crowd of around 75 people.

When we entered, the stage, bar, and step and repeat were all set up. Of course, no one stopped at the step and repeat because they did not have their phones. We headed straight to the ropes in front of the stage to secure a front and center spot. The stage was set up to with a rock glam feel. It had oversized hexagon lights and the digital wall of lights that reminded me of Lenny Kravitz’s American Woman video where there was light up flag. This was obviously more advanced since that was over 15 years ago.

Lenny Kravitz’s new album is called Strut after a song he sang at the live show in Miami. You can check out the Lenny Kravitz Live in Miami 2014 “Strut” on Soundcheck Promo. Check out the Strut performance on episode 3.

  1. There’s no one like Lenny Kravitz. I don’t know what it is about him, but he’s the quintessential rock star (classy and rocky without giving off a scuzz ball vibe).

  2. Really? An autograped guitar? That just has to be the coolest thing ever. Will have to go check it out. Thanks so much

  3. I didn’t realize Lenny Kravitz was still doing concerts! I loved his music in the 90s! Love the pics, too! He looks great.

  4. Not only is that an insane contest but the opportunity to see Lenny Kravitz live in such an intimate setting is a memory for a life time.
