Macy’s American Icons Events
Last week, I attended the Macy’s American Icons Events celebrating American Icons with food, fashion, art, beauty, and music. The events were a celebration of American Icons – a tribute to all things Americana.
Tommy Hilfiger and New York-based artist Sarah Oliphant had a table where you could customize your bag with monograming, stripes, flower, or splatters. It reminded me of my Carrie Bag DIY that I made a few years ago. I wanted all of the bags! This is such an awesome idea!
In the beauty department, there was #AmericanIcons themed photo booth with hay and cowboy themed props. You could also get patriotic American Icons Essie Manicure with Butler Please, Blanc, and Russian Roulette.
There was an all-American fashion presentation put on by blogger Kelly Saks of Kelly’s Klozet and Kristin Clark of Living In Color Print. There were refreshments courtesy of Onli beverages, carnival foods by Donut Divas and Fun Food, beats from our live DJ.
In the Macy’s Home Store, there was a BBQ grilling competition where we tasted BBQ baked beans and BBQ honey orange chicken. It was delicious and I won a gift for being up to date on my Macy’s trivia. Bar III is a Macy’s exclusive brand. Remember my new white skit? It’s Bar III and the sales associate let me know that it is an exclusive to Macy’s brand. I felt like a fashion genius!

Looks like it was a fun event!
