The Baby’s Room is finally done! It has been a long time coming since Camilla is just over 2 months old. My inspiration started with the pink and gray bunny sheet from Crate & Barrel’s The Land of Nod. I then ordered paint baby safe paint from Lullaby Paints in Cotton Candy and Slate for the Chalkboard Wall.
First Watch is an amazing breakfast spot that I frequent. I recently tried their new fall menu and wrote a review about it on my new food blog, Palm to Park. The Floridan French Toast is my favorite! It is a sourdough French toast with wheat germ and powdered cinnamon sugar, covered with fresh banana, kiwi and berries. Doesn’t that sound amazing?! Brunch is one of my favorite meals, and I adore dressing up for it. The best part of brunch is getting to wear a day time dress. Day time dresses are truly my first loves in fashion. When I first came to Miami, I had no idea what to wear to clubs. I actually wore a Sunday Brunch dress to a hot club on Lincoln Road. The dress was made of a white textured fabric. I wore it with a light pink snake belt and matching pink sandals. It was a very Lilly Pulitzer look. My good friend from law school never lets me forget about my Sunday Brunch Club outfit and brings it up often. His wife is probably reading this and knows exactly what I am talking about. I love them both even though they poke fun at me more often than not. 😉
Fall is around the corner and I am loving this Rococo Red nail polish from Nuance Salma Hayek. The color reminds me of the amazing red lips that were all over the runway this fall. Nuance Salma Hayek is only sold at CVS stores. The pictures with yellow background is where I painted 2 coats. The color of the polish is much deeper than the bottle. With one coat the color is lighter than in the bottle. Great price at $5.99 per bottle. I like both color so I cannot complain!
My sister and I hit Target this week to try on the new 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line. The first Target that I went to did not get any pieces in (Target on Hillsboro in Deerfield Beach). I chose that one because I thought they would have the best selection since not that many people would shop for Phillip Lim there. Obviously, Target took my thought process into consideration. I then went to the east Deerfield Beach, Florida store where I tried on a few pieces and was told that a few things sold old immediately including the famous Phillip Lim bags. I checked on Ebay to see if the bags were on there and upon searching “phillip lim target” (no quotes used in search), I received 7,364 results. The Boom sweatshirt that I bought for $29.99 sold for $40.00 here. None of the bags are available as of today on Target’s website. The price for the Mini Satchels were priced at $34.99 and are going for $67.00 with $9.99 shipping on ebay.
Since the baby was born 2 months ago, my husband and I have been making a concentrated effort to get out the house and do a date night every week. Of course, during the first few weeks after birth that didn’t happen. We were far too sleep-deprived to go anywhere! Now that the baby is sleeping more, I have been planning a weekly date night. This week I found a great deal on dinner through the MasterCard Priceless website. MasterCard is working with Miami Spice from August 1st – September 30th, offering three-course meals featuring signature dishes created by world-renowned chefs. The dinners are $39 per person. Of course, this price is far below what you would normally spend at these restaurants. The deal made it easy for my hubby and I to try an expensive restaurant without spending a fortune. After all, we now have a baby at home to consider.
My friends and family were recently strolling along the indoor flea market in Coral Spring, Florida when I saw an awesome bathing suit on a mannequin. The Resa accentuates the waist making it look like you are wearing a belt! As soon as I have a waist to accentuate, I am getting one! I was shocked that there was something so high fashion at this event. The designer of Noelle bathing suits recently moved to the area and was getting rid of her sample bathing suits.
