The Macy’s Culinary Council is an amazing collection of acclaimed chefs that travel the country doing cooking demonstrations for Macy’s customer. I visited Macy’s in the Aventura Mall where Chef Michelle Bernstein dazzled me with her skills and comedy.

Chef Michelle Bernstein cooked up some Latin favorites for an audience at Macy’s in Aventura, Florida. She is the Chef at Miami mainstays including Michy’s and Crumb on Parchment. Chef Berstein also taught us some of her culinary secrets including how to make crispy garlic. She put the garlic in a shrimp and grits recipe that somehow did not have that overwhelming garlicky taste that has been making sick lately (#pregnancyproblem #1).

Dinner Out During Pregnancy

You are probably exhausted from making a baby inside you, but you should make time for your significant other. Make sure to MAKE time for dinner out during pregnancy. I came to the realization that my husband and have not had nearly enough alone time together. We were married in June and got pregnant in September. Although we were definitely trying to conceive, we did not realize that it was going to be that easy. I am definitely not complaining as I expected it to be difficult process and understand how hard it is for some parents. I thought that it would it take at least three to six months. I think it might have been the first try for us. We are super happy that it was so easy, but I wish I had more one-on-one time with my hubby. We have instituted a night out at least once per week with just each other. Usually, we go to dinner and sometimes to a movie if something good is out. We actually had the entire weekend to ourselves last weekend. We slept all day on Saturday. It was heavenly.

Baby Shower Favors

My belly is getting bigger by the day and we just had our baby shower last weekend. The gifts somehow made the her coming more immenient and real. The Baby Shower Favors were probably the most fun thing about the baby shower preparation. If you have already hosted a baby shower, you know how much work it is. My sister, Bobbie took care of almost everything and I asked the lovely people at The Village Stand to help me find some local goodies to use as Baby Shower Favors for my guests.

Since I a pregnant and not able to whiten my teeth, I had my husband review the Smile Brilliant LED Teeth Whitening System. His teeth are getting whiter and mine are getting yellower. I cannot wait to be able to do all the things, like teeth whitening and eating sushi that were forbidden during pregnancy.
