I met up with the Bloggin’ Mamasthis week to check out the Planet Beach Brickell. We were given one month free passes to try the place out in compensation for writing about our experience. Before the event, I was apprehensive about attending because I thought it was going to be a tanning place and I am so done with tanning beds. I was happy to find out that no tanning occurs at this Planet Beach in Brickell. They are all about repair and wellness. My kinda place! They do have spray tan and I am all for that! Expect me to be tan at some point in my next few posts because I am definitely trying out the spray tan. Time to start looking like a Floridian! Maybe being tan will motivate me to work out. What is the Jersey Shoe moto? Gym-Tan-Laundry? I have never seen the show, but I have heard it around town. Planet Beach Contempo Spa’s moto is Relax, Glow and Renew! Sounds like all the things I need to do right now. So far, I tried out the Hydro massager and the Luminous Facial with the blue light.

The Dry Hydro therapy Massage is a form of therapy that combines the healing power of water, heat and massage in a single system. It counteracts your body’s negative response to stress, relaxing the muscle tension and allowing your heart rate, blood pressure and circulation to return to normal. With the baby, I desperately need to relieve stress.

Luminous Facial works as a skin care treatment for skin rejuvenation, from Red to Blue Infrared light therapy; Red Light increases blood circulation, reducing skin inflammation and nourishing damaged tissues. Infrared light, which is an invisible light energy, promotes the production of collagen and elastin. As for Blue light, it’s especially effective for acne, penetrating molecules within the skin that cause acne bacteria to form. These molecules react to the blue light therapy by producing free radicals that destroy the bacteria itself.

The new Planet Beach Spa is located on the Mezzanine level of 1060 Brickell, Planet Beach Brickell. They are having a two-day Grand Opening party, November 8^th and 9^th.

I am dying to try out the Slim Capsule! It combines radiant heat, near infrared and LED light therapy from head to toe. Exposing the body to radiant and near infrared, the Slim Capsule increases core temperature. Every degree you raise your core, your metabolism is in creased by 6%. Increases metabolism causes the body to burn more calories during your session and also hours afterward. Your body continues to burn calories for 12 hours after you have completed your session!
