Shine Elegant Tracker from Best Buy

I recently had a long conversation with Adam Glassman, creative director of O Magazine. We talked about accessories for over 20 minutes! At the time, my accessories were limited to a J.Crew necklace and The Shine. Normally, I pile on the accessories, but lately, during the day, I only wear the Shine. It is no fuss and I don’t have to worry about the new baby breaking it or worse yet injuring the baby with a sharp edge. At night time, I have an arm party and every metal is invited.
My long conversation with Adam was about breaking the traditional rules of matching metals and finishes when choosing accessories for an outfit. Adam pointed out that there are no rules left and I made an argument for having at least one other tie in some where else on your outfit. For example, you can wear brushed pewter on your wrist if there is brushed pewter somewhere else in your outfit, like on your purse. Adam said that I should even let that go. I am working on it, but I am not there yet. I am trying to take Adam’s advice here and by fully embracing the mixing of metals. The Shine has tons of features like activity, steps, calorie, and sleep tracking. It also tracks other activities like swimming, biking, and tennis. No worries about getting it wet, it is water proof. It can be used as clock as well. You can buy extra accessories for the Shine like the a magnet clip, leather bands, a sport band, and necklace. I have the sports band, but I am considering getting the leather band to make the Shine even more fashionable. The leather band makes it look even more like a watch so if you want to be slick and not let people in on the fact that you are monitoring your steps, then the leather band is for you. I don’t know why you would not want people to know. The Shine has actually been a conversation starter for me lately. People love to ask about it.
