Maria is wearing a tone of spring trends in this outfit. My favorite trend is eyelet. Luckily, the Spring 2013 runways were filled with eyelets. Heavy hitters like Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Bottega Veneta, Stella McCartney, and Victoria Beckham all showed the delicate white eyelet fabric in modern ways. I have been a huge fan of eyelet since I had eyelet pillows on my childhood bed. My mother always said that eyelet reminded her of her mother. I was young when she died so there are very few things that remind me of her. Eyelet is one of them.
Maria is wearing several spring runway trends including eyelet, ruffles, crop tops paired with skirts, high contrast, yellow accessories, and embellished sandals. I love that all these trends were already in my closet so that I just had to shop my own closet to put together this outfit.
The cropped top is something that is difficult to pull off unless you have a perfect stomach like Maria. If you do not have a perfect tummy, I recommend grabbing a white button down and rolling up the sleeves. It would be awesome to find a white button down made with eyelets. You could even wear that to work.
For the perfectly shaped girls, like Maria (did I mention she is a dancer?), wear the cropped top trend. They were seen all over the runways with maxi skirts and short skirts. The list is out of control! Balenciaga, Band of Outsiders, Carven, Costume National, Derek Lam, JW Anderson, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Marchesa, Michael Kors, Peter Som, and Rochas.
Cropped tops can worn be under button down shirts as well, check out this colorful look.

Super cute skirt…nobody wants to see this momma of 3’s tummy, though.
I love that skirt!
The skirt is so pretty!
I adore eyelet.
I LOVE the yellow bag.
I am a huge fan of eyelet too! I was just telling Chris that I wanted to go check out the new eyelet dresses at Old Navy, they’re only $20! Have you seen them yet?
I love white eyelet. It’s so feminine. Problem it white always gets so stained up when I wear it, especially with a baby and toddler.
I love eyelet, too, especially with comforter sets. By the way, that skirt is really pretty!
I love that skirt!
Skirt & bag wonderful. The crop prairie top not-so-much.
I love the skirt and the sandals! I love the whole outfit but I could never pull off a cropped top, never, ever! She looks fantastic, though!
Oh that skirt and bag just rock.
Love the skirt and bag so much!
Lovely. I really like the pops of color.
I’m way too old to be showing off my mid-drift anymore! LOL – I do love that yellow handbag though.
