Star Wars Disney World – Galaxy’s Edge is a sponsored post. As always, all opinions 100% my own.

WOW! The day has finally arrived! The Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is officially open and I just rode on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride! OMG! This is a dream come true! I remember screaming my head off at D23 when Bob Iger announced the plans for Star War theme lands at Disney World and Disneyland! Read my article here. I literally lost my voice from screaming! What can I say, I am a super Star Wars fan girl!

The dream of Star Wars is alive in the Planet Batuu at Galaxy’s Edge. You forget you are at theme park and you are transported into the world of Star Wars. The people of Batuu don’t know that they are in the Star Wars so there is nothing with Star Wars written anywhere.

Batuu Guide

Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products said, “every experience in Batuu – from piloting the Millennium Falcon to building your own droid – puts guests deeper into their own Star Wars story.”

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

The new Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride is amazing and worth the wait! When I saw the giantic life size Millennium Falcon, I was awe struck. The attention to detail and the sheer size, makes you feel like it is real! The Millennium Falcon docked in the Black Spire Outpost Spaceport measures more than 100 feet long.

Millenium Falcon Disney World

In Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, we take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy as pilots, gunners or flight engineers. The ride responds in real time to the actions the 6 riders take.

Did you know that the chess-type game played on the table in the Millennium Falcon main hold and lounge is called Dejarik? You  can sit at the table inside Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and the game is available for purchase in the Toydarian Toymaker marketplace stall.

A second anchor attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, will debut Dec. 5, 2019, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios In the most ambitious, immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined, guests will become part of the action during a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance in an experience that will blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

Black Spire Outpost

While you are in the Black Spire Outpost in the land of Batuu, there are a ton of fun experiences that you have to check out!

You have to take a swig of Blue Milk. Ever since Luke Skywalker sat down for a family meal in “Star Wars: A New Hope,” Star Wars fans have had this burning question: What does Blue Milk taste like? Now at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, they finally have their answer. The Milk Stand in Black Spire Outpost offers both Blue Milk and Green Milk, delicious frozen blends with dashes of fruity accents. I can tell you that the Blue Milk tastes amazing and you have to try it on your next trip to Star Wars Disney World.

Oga’s Cantina

The heartbeat of Black Spire Outpost is Oga’s Cantina. It is a place where even the blaster-bolt scorches on the walls tell a story.

All the food at Oga’s Cantina, is Instagram worth. Guests can gather to share their own tales from around the galaxy as they enjoy exotic beverages served in unique vessels and listen to spirited musical entertainment from DJ R-3X, the former droid pilot from Star Tours. Whether sidling up to the cantina’s counter or sliding into one of the establishment’s back booths, this is the best place to catch up on local gossip, make a new friend or form a new alliance.

Build a Droid Inside the Droid Depot

Droids can be some of the most loyal companions in the entire Star Wars galaxy, and now guests have the chance to build and customize their own astromech friends at the Droid Depot. Patrons pick pieces and parts off a conveyor belt to construct one of two core models (R-series or BB-series), which can then interact with elements throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. There are nearly 280,000 possible combinations for constructing an R-series or BB-series astromech droid using all the available pieces in the Droid Depot.

Star Wars Character Sightings

Keep your eyes open while you are in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, because you may encounter heroes of the Resistance or agents of the First Order. Supreme Leader Kylo Ren lands at Black Spire Outpost and gathers Stormtroopers to help him hunt for Resistance fighter Rey. Also, you may also encounter Millennium Falcon co-pilot Chewbacca or Resistance spy Vi Moradi.
