Strikers Dancers

Calling all Cheerleader and Soccer fans!…Guess what I was invited to participate in this month?! I was invited to appear as a Pro-Cheerleader/Dancer for the Strikers Dancers for the Pro Soccer team Ft. Lauderdale Strikers @FTLStrikers! Led by the fantastic veteran Cheerleader/Dancer Director Jeanne Wolk, this group of fun, funny, beautiful, talented, and highly energetic women really know how to enjoy being a part of a very cool cheer and dance squad.

When Jeanne reached out to me one afternoon asking if I would be available to appear with the Strikers Dancers, I was thrilled to jump at the opportunity! I instantly thought of just how cool it would be to perform in front of a crowd at Lockhart Stadium. “Lockhart Stadium is a stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. It is currently home to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of North American Soccer League. It has seen use in a variety of sports, particularly soccer and American football”, and has the potential to seat up to 20,450 cheering soccer fans…haha!

For my first experience into this arena it just happened to land on National Dance Day, so for this special day as fans arrived, the Strikers Dancers entertained the crowd in the Strikers Fan Zone moving and shaking their grooves to popular group dances. They were awesome! I took the job with Jeanne of meeting and greeting fans as they entered the main entrance 🙂 And, for the field dance, Jeanne couldn’t have chosen a cooler song for us to rock out to in front of the crowd of cheering soccer fans, AC/DC’s “Shook Me All Night Long”. Of course, alongside the Strikers Dancers, it would not have been complete without the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers very own mascot, Hotshot, pumping up the crowd while we performed our routine. Hotshot is so cool, he even escorted us on and off the field. Check us out in the video link below, and come cheer us on at the next home game! Go Strikers!

PS. I’m the one on the end at the far left 🙂
